The Kane Chronicles, The, Book One: Red Pyramid: The Graphic Novel (Kane Chronicles Graphic Novels)

The Kane Chronicles - Book One Red Pyramid: The Graphic Novel - Rick Riordan, Orpheus Collar I desperately wanted to like this book. I find Roman or Greek gods far more interesting than Egyptian. But Egyptian gods and culture have this certain exotic feel about them that Riordan didn't exploit. So now it's just like a Percy Jackson book. Unlike the Percy Jackson series, however, this book completely failed to engage the readers. The writing wasn't executed right, the plot a bit repetitive, not as much humor as you would expect, and the characters are forgettable. But I'm willing to give this series a chance. If the second book fails to redeem its predecessor, I'm dropping it.
